This new artwork is based on a mixed technique that fuses digital and acrylic technology and has also surprised the public with the incorporation of augmented reality. With this new technology applied to the work, the artist has sought to give life and continuity to the work. The colors of “Life is beautiful” change according to the mood of the protagonist and the audience that admires her. A symbol of the dynamism of life and a commitment to a future with a look full of enthusiasm and optimism.
Likewise, Bakkali presented some of her most representative works at the first international contemporary art fair, such as “Transgression”, “Don Quixote Time” or “Too many fish, too few loaves”.
Monaco will host permanently “Too many fish, too few loaves”
Houda Bakkali‘s visit to Monaco was completed with a private view at the legendary restaurant Le Pinocchio. A true gastronomic landmark of Monte Carlo and for decades a meeting point for artists, singers, actors, royalty and jet-set from all over the world.
In a commitment to contemporary art, Le Pinocchio will permanently host one of Houda Bakkali’s most representative works “Too many fish and too few loaves”. This artwork tells the violent competitiveness of a world that is increasingly impoverished of its resources and inequality. The image represents the victory of color and energy of hope. This artwork speaks about the problems of our times through color and lightness, proposing an optimistic model of thought a without reducing the essence of the message.
“Too many fish and too few loaves” has been awarded the Graphis Silver Award in New York (2019); London International Creative Competition Honorable Mention Award in London (2020) and the Circle Foundation for the Arts Honorable mention Award in Lyon, France (2020).
