According to Merriam-Webster a cityscape is defined as “an artistic representation of a city, an urban environment, a city landscape.”
The Cityscapes theme included any art or photography which depicted cities, towns, urban scenes and any related metropolitan subjects. The artwork could range from realism to surrealism to abstraction. All artists and photographers, regardless of location or experience, were encouraged to submit.
Each month Fusion Art presents awards in two categories: Traditional Art and Digital Art & Photography. The Cityscapes Best in Show winners are Cecily Willis for her watercolor on arches paper, “Frolic Room, Hollywood Blvd.,” and Stephen Baumbach for his photograph, “Glass and Class.” Both Cecily and Stephen are Fusion Art’s Featured Artists for the month of August 2016. For more information about Cecily and Stephen please visit the Featured Artists page.
