The opening “Women and Digital Art. Breaking stereotypes” has been a success. The ceremony was attended by local authorities, press and critics of the art, who praised this Bakkali’s artwork. Likewise, during the event, a documentary about the protagonist of the series “Beautiful African Woman”, was shown. This series is based on the mother of Bakkali, with whose image the artist wants to break stereotypes about Arab women.
This artwork is based on digital illustration, and some pieces are created in combination with digital collage. The artist like to use colour as an impact element and simple lines, almost imperceptible, as the basis of the compositions. Each work seeks attention by its personality, respecting the essence of the protagonist: simple but strong.
